Externally the original openings and stonework were rediscovered and faithfully restored. The house is heated in winter by a ground source heat pump located under the vineyard which heats up the floor slabs. Solar roof panels provide hot water. Thick stone walls and deep window reveals keep out unwanted sun in summer.
